Where our numbers come from
Transparency is a core value. Here's what powers PerspectaMind's estimates and the assumptions we make. All figures are educational estimates, not guarantees.
Career & salary data
Salary ranges, training length, typical debt and benefits are built from public labor-market patterns and typical published compensation ranges for each role. We model a realistic career arc — starting pay, raises and a ceiling — rather than a single number.
State & city cost of living
Cost-of-living indices, state and local tax burdens and regional housing costs are modeled from typical published ranges. A national baseline (index 100) lets us compare places on equal terms.
Taxes
We estimate federal, state and payroll taxes to convert gross pay into take-home pay. These are simplified estimates and don't capture every credit, deduction or local tax.
Investment growth
Long-term projections assume a default ~7% annual return unless you change it — a common long-run stock-market estimate before inflation. Real returns vary and are never guaranteed.
Our simulation
Every career, state, degree and decision runs through the same lifetime-wealth engine so results are comparable. Read the full methodology for details.
